The Ryan Reynolds and Jason Momoa-led movie Animal Friends is moving release dates.
Warner Bros. had changed the date for the live-action animated hybrid to 2027, postponing it from its 2026 date.
This is just the latest amid multiple release date changes for this particular film, as Deadline notes it was originally set to come out on August 15, 2025, before moving to October 10, 2025, then May 1, 2026, and most recently June 5, 2026.

There’s been a slew of release dates for this pic including August 15, 2025, October 10, 2025, May 1, 2026, and most recently June 5, 2026.
Aubrey Plaza, Dan Levy, Lil Rel Howery, Addison Rae, and Ellie Bamber also star and apparently the reason for the date change this time is that more of the stars will be available to do press on the new release date of January 22, 2027.
Here’s the description for the film, ” Two fugitive animals embark on an adventure across America to find the ranch that was once their home, healing their friendship while pursued by an equally “odd-couple” DEA agent and Fish and Wildlife ranger with something to prove.”
Since it is an R-rated film with animation, it seems like there is some difficulty figuring out the right timeframe for it to be released.
Jason Momoa also stars in this year’s big movie Dune: Part Three. Watch the trailer!
