The ceremony dates for the 2027 and 2028 Oscars have been announced.
After the 2026 Oscars took place on Sunday, March 15, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences revealed the 2027 ceremony will once again take place in mid-March while the 2028 ceremony will air in early March.
Keep reading to find out more…The 2027 Oscars, which will be the 99th edition of the ceremony, will take place on Sunday, March 14, per The Hollywood Reporter. The 2028 Oscars, marking the 100th ceremony, will be held on Sunday, March 5. Both shows will begin at 7pm ET/4pm ET.
As previously announced, these will be the final Oscars ceremonies held at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood and broadcast on ABC.
In 2029, the show will move to downtown Los Angeles’ LA LIVE complex and will begin streaming on YouTube.
As of right now, the hosts for the 2027 and 2028 Oscars have not been announced. The ceremony this year was hosted by Conan O’Brien for the second time. During the closing skit, Conan joked that he had declared the “Host for Life” at the Oscars.
