Kurt Sutter & Katey Sagal Re-Team for Musical Project, Discuss Possibility of ‘Sons of Anarchy’ Prequel Series Happening | Katey Sagal, Kurt Sutter | Celebrity News and Gossip | Entertainment, Photos and Videos

Katey Sagal and Kurt Sutter have revealed their next collaborative project.

The Sons of Anarchy star and its creator are behind a new limited-run choral concert called Khorus Harmonia. Katey is leading it and the book and staging are by Kurt.

According to Deadline, the choral arrangement and direction will be done by Steven Argila and performances will be held at Hollywood’s Hudson Theatres starting on April 22 through May 21. A preview night is set for April 21. Money from ticket sales will benefit The Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights & the Wounded Warrior Project.

Katey says the project is about “music and feels, in 66 minutes,” adding that “Music and singing” centers her.

“Makes me feel whole in broken times,” she added. “Kurt loves challenging the artistic boundaries of any medium. We both crave the connection of community. That’s why we are doing this.”

As for the possibility of a Sons of Anarchy prequel series, Deadline asked Kurt if there was any chance of it happening after he parted with FX a few years back.

“[FX Networks Chairman] John Landgraf and I were always friends while I worked with him, but we’ve become really close friends since I left, and that’s been powerful for me,” Kurt said. “I know that he loves the IP, and I trust John. When I know it’s the right time for it, and it all makes sense, that’s when it’ll happen. When we have lunch, we’ll talk about the business and work, but it’s never about the pursuit of a single project. But look, I think there are still some stories to tell, and it would be fantastic to come back and be able to do that. I don’t think it’s completely off the table, but as things change, you embrace whatever direction you’re taken in.”

The prequel he left behind would focus on the formation of the outlaw motorcycle club by John Teller after returning from Vietnam. It would also feature younger versions of Gemma and Clay Morrow (Ron Perlman).
