Kanye West is paying tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.‘s work following his marriage to Bianca Censori on the song “KING” from his new album Bully.
The 48-year-old musician released his new album Friday (March 27), and spoke on the late activist’s work as a civil rights leader in the lyrics of one of the tracks that is rapidly gaining attention online.
If you didn’t know, interracial marriage was deemed unconstitutional in 1967 by the Supreme Court in the Loving v. Virginia case amid MLK Jr.‘s work against segregation.

“I brought a white queen to the altar / Couldn’t happen without Martin Luther,” Ye raps on the song.
“What’s the Kelly Price? What’s the Kevin Costner? / What’s the Kelly cost? Birkin, it’s a tossup / Is it really love when it’s bought love? / She would never let me f–k if I was f–ked up.”
Kanye was previously married to Kim Kardashian, with whom he has four kids. He was also linked to Julia Fox and Irina Shayk. He met Bianca while she worked at his Yeezy company.
Ye took out an ad back in January in an issue of The Wall Street Journal, where he addressed those he has hurt. If you don’t know, he’s made antisemitic statements in public in recent years, and as recently as 2025 was selling swastika t-shirts.
