Halle Bailey confirms new Chloe x Halle music is still in the pipeline!

The 26-year-old singer and actress started her career as a duo with older sister Chloe Bailey, but over the past several years, their individual careers have taken over as they’ve worked on movies and music solo.

Many fans continue to wonder if Chloe x Halle will return, and in a new interview, Halle teased what’s next for the Grammy-nominated duo.

“With my sister, I feel like we’ve always been together,” she told Complex. “We’ve never gone away from each other. I am so excited, for both of us in this new journey, because I’m older, I’ve lived more, I have more to talk about now. She does as well.”

“As creative beings, sometimes you need to go away, live life, have some experience happen to you so that you have meat to pull from,” Halle continued. “That’s the most fun. It’s like our tea time again, when we sit in the studio, we like, ‘Girl, what happened to you? Well this is what happened to me.’ And then we’re like, ‘Oh, well what can we create out of this?’ It’s a very, very fun process.”

She went on to tease that their new music together will be more grown than in the past.

“I would just say you can expect just new stories, new perspectives, excitement, maybe a little grown-er. More grown? And yeah, just a fun time,” she said.

It’s been nearly three years since we last had an update on new Chloe x Halle music, and it’s been almost six years since their last album, Ungodly Hour, was released.

More recently, Halle is starring in the new rom-com You, Me & Tuscany, which just hit theaters this weekend. Her and Chloe even recently hosted a screening of the film together!
