Sad news for fans hoping to see DJ Anyma at Coachella.
Nearly 20 minutes after he was scheduled to perform just after midnight on Saturday (April 11), the 37-year-old DJ, whose real name is Matteo Milleri) announced that he was cancelling his set due to “strong wind conditions.”
Keep reading to find out more…“Due to strong wind conditions affecting Anyma’s stage build, he is unable to perform tonight,” read a statement on Instagram. “Coachella and Anyma have made this decision together with your safety as the priority.”
In the caption of the post, Anyma added, “I’m sorry everyone. We’ve done everything in our control to build the show I’ve worked an entire year on. Safety always comes first and we’re working on a solution now.”
Anyma had planned to debut his latest audiovisual project, ÆDEN, during his Coachella set. ÆDEN features the single “Bad Angel,” which K-pop superstar LISA stars in the music video for.
“It’s not just music, what you do; it’s music, visuals, and performance at the highest level,” Anyma told Vogue in an interview published Friday, April 10. “Everything is crafted to perfection… and you need dedication, stubbornness, and really to focus to make this stuff like you do it.”
