Mariska Hargitay celebrated a major career milestone on Tuesday night (June 2), stepping out for the opening night of Every Brilliant Thing at the Hudson Theatre in New York City.

The longtime Law & Order: SVU star, who is making her Broadway debut in the acclaimed solo play, posed for photos on the red carpet alongside a star-studded group of supporters, some of whom SVU fans will recognize.

Guests spotted at the opening-night event included Jodie Foster and her eldest son Charles Bernard Foster, Candice Bergen, Diane Sawyer, Kelli Giddish, Danny Pino, Katie Couric, Neil Patrick Harris, Hugh Dancy, BD Wong, Christopher Meloni, and more.

For the occasion, Mariska wore a silky cream-colored top paired with a shimmering metallic midi skirt with floral embellishments and strappy heels. She completed the look with soft waves and understated jewelry.

The Broadway production marks a new chapter for the Emmy-winning actress, who took over the role from Daniel Radcliffe earlier this spring. The interactive one-person play has become one of Broadway’s most talked-about productions this season.

According to Deadline, Mariska‘s debut was a huge success with attendance at 97% of capacity and “and although last week’s gross of $1,135,322 was a considerable drop from the previous when Radcliffe said goodbye with record-setting $2M+ numbers, the figure is comparable, even higher, than the grosses of Radcliffe’s earliest weeks in the role.”
