Donald Trump is suggesting that the newly constructed UFC arena at the White House might be sticking around.

The 79-year-old President of the United States shared a video to TikTok on Tuesday (June 2) regarding the arena being constructed on the South Lawn for fights scheduled for June 14.

“People don’t know that in Paris, France, the Eiffel Tower, 1889 it was built. It was supposed to be taken down immediately after the world’s fair, and then they said, ‘You know we sort of like it, let’s leave it up a little bit longer’, and then they said, ‘Let’s leave it up longer and longer and longer,” he explained.

“Well, they never took it down, and you know we’re building something in front of the White House that’s quite attractive to a lot of people. It’s going to have the big UFC fight on June 14, and I’m looking at it and maybe we’ll never ever take it down,” he continued.

He also referenced the UFC cage on TruthSocial a day later.

I’ll be going to the G7, in France, immediately following what will be one of the Most Entertaining Nights in American History, the UFC World Championship Fights on the South Lawn of the White House. Records indicate that whilst fights of a much lower level took place at the White House throughout its long and storied History, nothing even close to this, the Greatest Fighters in the World, CHAMPIONS ALL, was even thought of for the People’s House!

The Trump administration-backed “Freedom 250” event, held to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, also announced a lineup of artists set to perform. In the days since that announcement, most of the acts have already dropped out.
