Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Has Blunt Response to Trump & Republicans After Major Democratic Election Win: ‘Wah Wah Wah’ | Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Donald Trump, Politics | Celebrity News and Gossip | Entertainment, Photos and Videos
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez addressed a major Democratic victory in Virginia, which Donald Trump and other members of the Republican party have slammed as the results of a “rigged election.”
In a special election this week, a referendum to allow congressional redistricting in Virginia passed, according to reporting by The New York Times.
The newly approved map would give Democrats a boost, shifting districts so that the party could more easily win in 10 of the states 11 districts. The previous districting resulted in a more even spread of representation, and Republicans stand to lose four seats.
In a furious statement on Truth Social, the president, 79, compared the Democratic win to the 2020 election, which he continues to insist — without evidence — was rigged against him.
AOC, 36, addressed his response while speaking to the press.

“A RIGGED ELECTION TOOK PLACE LAST NIGHT IN THE GREAT COMMONWEALTH OF VIRGINIA! All day long Republicans were winning, the Spirit was unbelievable, until the very end when, of course, there was a massive ‘Mail In Ballot Drop!’ Where have I heard that before — And the Democrats eked out another Crooked Victory!” Trump raged in his post on Wednesday (April 22).
He continued, adding, “Six to five goes to ten to one, and yet the Presidential Election in November was very close to a 50-50 split. In addition to everything else, the language on the Referendum was purposefully unintelligible and deceptive. As everyone knows, I am an extraordinarily brilliant person, and even I had no idea what the hell they were talking about in the Referendum, and neither do they! Let’s see if the Courts will fix this travesty of ‘Justice.’ ”
Asked about the GOP’s response to the election results, AOC replied, “Wah wah wah.”
She elaborated, saying, ” The Republican party wanted to start this,” referencing GOP-led redistricting in states like North Carolina and Texas.
“What they’re just mad at is they’ve been accustomed to a Democratic party that rolls over, doesn’t fight and takes everything sitting down,” she said, adding, “What they’re mad at right now is that we are here in a new day, and we have been asking the Democratic party to stand up and fight, and now they did.”
She added, “And now the Republican party doesn’t like the fact that they are fighting against someone who actually will stand up for the American people.”
“So if Republicans decide that they would like to revisit a ban on partisan gerrymandering, I welcome them. We have the bill right here to end this all today,” the representative in the House said. “But they don’t want to because they like pursuing and continuing to enact an unfair electoral landscape. And so we have an obligation to defend ourselves.”
AOC directly responded to a question about Trump, saying, “I’m sooo sorry for his heartbreak at this moment, and I look forward to adding ten more Democratic colleagues in November.”
