Milly Alcock Talks About Fear About How She’ll Be Received as Supergirl: ‘Ultimately, It’s Out of My Control’ | DC, Milly Alcock, Movies, Supergirl | Celebrity News and Gossip | Entertainment, Photos and Videos
Milly Alcock is worried about how she will be received as Supergirl in her solo film.
That being said, she also has experience with intense fandoms thanks to her time starring in the HBO series House of the Dragon, a spinoff from Game of Thrones, where she played a young Rhaenyra Targaryen, a role she shares with Emma D’Arcy.
“Of course I’m scared,” the 25-year-old actress told Vanity Fair. “Of course I want people to like me and the movie. But ultimately, it’s out of my control.”

She went on to say that playing characters like Rhaenyra and now Kara Zor-El/Supergirl has “definitely made me aware that simply existing as a woman in that space is something that people comment on. We have become very comfortable having this weird ownership of women’s bodies.”
“I can’t really stop them. I can only be myself,” she.
Notable performers to have portrayed Supergirl before her include Melissa Benoist on The CW show and Sasha Calle in The Flash. But Milly says she hasn’t reached out to them for advice.
The way she looks at it, “they’re just people living their lives. It’s not like we have this blood bond.”
Supergirl hits theaters on June 26. Watch the latest trailer here!
