The song was initially teased in a Beats by Dre ad in December, and was produced by Kanye, Jahaan Sweet, André Troutman, Sheffmade, Che Pope and Just Da 1.
It includes a sample of “Heavenly Father, You’ve Been Good” by Johnnie Frierson.
“Bye-bye to my old self / Wake up to the new me / I used to be on Worldstar / Now I’m making Newsweek / I used to hang on the 9 / Now I bought two streets / Cottage Grove to King Drive / Yeah, this life is a movie,” Ye declares.
“Know you wonderin’ where the F I been / I been goin’ hard like a crack syringe / I been breakin’ bad, now I’m back again / Gettin’ mil’ tickets, no rafflin’,” Travis adds.
“My son [Saint] was playing with some kid and then he kicked him and I asked my son like, ‘why you do that?’ He said ’cause he weak,’ and I was like…this man is really a bully,” Ye reflected in a recent interview about his album’s title.
Ye took out an ad back in January in an issue of The Wall Street Journal, where he addressed those he has hurt. If you don’t know, he’s made antisemitic statements in public in recent years, and as recently as 2025 was selling swastika t-shirts.
