“While we are not proceeding with another season of Talamasca: The Secret Order, we are proud of the series and grateful for the efforts of everyone involved,” an AMC spokesperson told Variety. “The Talamasca has a storied place within the Anne Rice Immortal Universe, and we expect to see at least some of these characters, and the organization itself, in future expressions of the franchise.”

The Talamasca is a secret order that controls the activity of supernatural beings in the Anne Rice universe. As it is set in the same television universe, there has already been some overlap between the three shows and it sounds like loose ends from Talamasca season 1 could be wrapped up in future seasons of Interview with the Vampire or Mayfair Witches.

Consisting of six episodes, Talamasca featured Nicholas Denton, Elizabeth McGovern, William Fichtner, Maisie Richardson-Sellers, and Celine Buckens, among others.

Eric Bogosian and Justin Kirk reprised their roles from Interview with the Vampire in guest star roles.

Keep track of every TV show canceled in 2026 so far.
