'Big Brother' Future Revealed After Season 28 Finale, Renewed for 2 More Seasons! | Just Jared

Huge news for Big Brother fans!!
At the end of the season 28 finale on Thursday night (October 1), host Julie Chen Moonves revealed that the CBS competition is returning for not one, but TWO more seasons.
After the winner and America’s Favorite Houseguest were announced, Julie was told to open an envelope, but she had no clue what it was about.

“This just in, CBS wants me to open this envelope. I have no idea what it is,” she says as she begins to open the envelope.
After getting it open, Julie reveals the contents of what’s inside.
“Oooh! Breaking news, Big Brother has been picked up for two more years,” she read from the paper, followed by cheers from the season 28 cast and the studio audience. “Season 29 and season 30 are coming your way.”
“I want to thank all of our houseguests, this amazing, unexpected summer. I want to thank all of our returning BB alums for an incredible history-making season. From outside the Big Brother house, I’m Julie Chen Moonves. Will you say it with me? Love one another!”
The exciting news of two more seasons comes after it was previously presumed there would at least be one more season as a casting notice went out.
