If you ever find yourself wondering, “Where is the cast of The Parkers?” you’re definitely not alone. The beloved UPN sitcom may have wrapped more than two decades ago, but its outrageous characters, unforgettable one-liners and over-the-top storylines still live rent-free in fans’ memories. Since the show ended, its stars have taken some surprisingly different paths, from major Hollywood wins and new television roles to music, writing and life away from the spotlight.

Years later, Kim, played by Countess Vaughn, heads to Santa Monica College, and Nikki decides she’s not going to let her own unfinished education hold her back. So, she enrolls at the same school as her daughter.
Naturally, having your mom suddenly become your college classmate is not exactly every teenager’s dream. The two navigate school, dating, work and adulthood together while sharing plenty of hilarious and occasionally chaotic moments along the way.
And then there was Professor Stanley Oglevee. Nikki’s enormous crush on the handsome professor became one of the show’s biggest running jokes. She stopped at almost nothing to win his heart, while Stanley spent an equal amount of energy trying to escape her relentless pursuit. Their back-and-forth became one of the sitcom’s signature storylines.
So, where is the cast of The Parkers after all these years? Here’s what happened to some of the stars who made the series unforgettable.
Mo’Nique — Nikki Parker
Mo’Nique went from playing the hilarious and determined Nikki Parker to earning one of Hollywood’s biggest honors. In 2010, she won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance as Mary in Precious: Based on the Novel “Push” by Sapphire.
In the years since, she has continued working across comedy, television and film. She returned to stand-up with her Netflix 2023 special My Name Is Mo’Nique and later appeared in Lee Daniels’ horror thriller The Deliverance. Not bad for the woman who once spent her days plotting how to win over Professor Oglevee.
Countess Vaughn — Kim Parker
Countess Vaughn became one of the most recognizable faces of 1990s and early-2000s Black television thanks to Kim Parker. After The Parkers, she explored reality television, appearing on programs including Celebrity Fit Club and TV One’s Hollywood Divas.
She has also continued pursuing music and acting, including a guest appearance on the series Harlem.
Dorien Wilson — Professor Stanley Oglevee
Professor Oglevee may have spent years trying to avoid Nikki Parker, but Dorien Wilson has had no trouble staying busy on television. After The Parkers, Wilson continued building an extensive sitcom résumé and took on the role of Jay Weaver on Bounce TV’s In the Cut and starred in the 2022 BET Holiday special A Wesley Christmas alongside Jasmine Guy.
He has also appeared in guest roles across television, independent films and comedy projects, proving that Professor Oglevee was only one chapter in a much longer acting career.
Jenna von Oÿ — Stevie Van Lowe
Jenna von Oÿ, who played Kim’s best friend Stevie Van Lowe, eventually stepped away from acting full-time to focus more on family, writing and music. She moved to Nashville and pursued a career in country music, with her debut album Breathing Room in 2007. She followed up with her sophomore project Coffee & Men in 2009, featuring playful and lighthearted songwriting geared toward film and television placement.
She also became an author, writing books such as Situation Momedy, a guide for first-time mothers, as well as an LGBTQ+ advocate.
Ken Lawson — Thaddeus “T” Radcliffe
Ken Lawson managed to keep both sides of his creative life moving after The Parkers. Along with acting, he has released hip-hop music under the name Ken L.
He also reunited with Dorien Wilson on In the Cut and landed a major role as Malik on Tyler Perry’s political drama The Oval. From college hijinks to primetime drama, Lawson’s post-Parkers career has covered plenty of ground.
Yvette Wilson — Andell Wilkerson
Yvette Wilson, who brought the sharp and hilarious store owner Andell Wilkerson to life, sadly passed away on June 14, 2012, at the age of 48. The comedian and actress had been battling cervical cancer, according to IMDB.
Wilson first made her mark as a stand-up comedian before making the jump to acting in the early 1990s. She quickly became a familiar face in Black television and film, appearing in projects including In Living Color, Poetic Justice, Thea, House Party 3 and Friday, according to Revolt TV.
Her career took another memorable turn in 1996 when she joined Moesha as Andell Wilkerson. When the character became part of The Parkers spin-off, Wilson reprised the role, bringing Andell’s no-nonsense personality, comedic timing and loyal friendship with Nikki Parker to the series. As the owner of The Den, Andell became an important part of the show’s world and one of its most memorable supporting characters.
Before her death, Wilson continued pursuing several interests outside acting, including real estate and managing an independent record label, the outlet stated. Her work as Andell remains an important part of The Parkers‘ legacy, and her performances continue to be remembered by fans of the series.

More than 20 years after the series finale, the answer is surprisingly varied. Some stars went on to major Hollywood achievements, others continued building careers in television and music, while some chose to focus more heavily on family and life outside the entertainment industry.
