Hilary Duff emergency – she’s releasing a new song THIS week!!

The 39-year-old entertainer just surprise announced her new single, “CATastrophe,” for the upcoming movie The Cat in the Hat, will be released on Friday (October 2).

“hey, I got nine lives, let’s live one up tonight …” she shared with a song and video teaser on Instagram on Wednesday (September 30), just two days after her birthday.

In the short clip, Hilary walks into a room to unpack boxes and as she opens one, she pulls out the iconic red and white striped hat the Dr Seuss Cat wears!

The all new The Cat in the Hat animated movie is set to release in theaters on November 6th, starring the voices of Bill Hader, Xochitl Gomez, Matt Berry, Quinta Brunson, and Paula Pell, and featuring Tiago Martinez, Giancarlo Esposito, America Ferrera, Bowen Yang, and Tituss Burgess.
