Sources familiar with the situation told TMZ that Dolly flew by private jet to Frankfurt, Germany, where she underwent an experimental cancer treatment.

The exact nature of the treatment is not known.

Dolly reportedly remained in Germany for about a week before returning home.

According to the outlet’s sources, Dolly believed the treatment had been effective and helped restore some of her strength.

The specific type of cancer that Dolly battled has never been publicly revealed.

Dolly Parton’s Sister Previously Discussed Her Willingness to Try Experimental Treatments

The new report comes after Dolly‘s sister Stella Parton previously revealed that the singer was willing to undergo experimental treatments during her cancer battle.

“My sister was one of the most generous, thoughtful and kind people I’ve ever known,” Stella wrote following her sister’s passing.

She continued, “What the world saw is exactly who she was, so much so, she told me recently that if there was no hope for her, she would still allow her medical team to try experimental drugs in the hope of helping others in the future.”

It is not known whether Stella was referring specifically to the treatment Dolly reportedly received in Germany.

Dolly passed away on August 25 following what her team described as a brief battle with cancer.

The new report comes one day after it was revealed that Dolly‘s nephew Bryan Seaver, who served as her head of security for more than two decades, and his security companies were fired from their roles at her properties following her passing.
