‘Crew Girl’ Renewed for Season 2 by Netflix Less Than 2 Weeks After Premiere!

Crew Girl is officially coming back for more!

Netflix has renewed the hit teen drama for Season 2 less than two weeks after the first season premiered on the streaming service.

The news comes after Crew Girl quickly became a hit for Netflix following its September 10 debut.

Netflix Renews Crew Girl for Season 2

According to Netflix, Crew Girl debuted in the streamer’s English TV Top 10 and has remained on the list since its release, climbing to No. 2 this week.

The show has also reached the Top 10 in more than 90 countries and has accumulated more than 16 million views, according to Netflix.

Miku Martineau, who stars as Teagan Tao, celebrated the renewal in a statement.

“I am beyond excited for Crew Girl season two! There’s so much left to explore with the characters, the romances, and the rowing team, it’s going to be a ride for sure!” she said.

Miku continued, “All I know is that it will definitely be a packed, juicy, drama filled second season so I’m ready to get back in a boat and on camera! #teamteagan”

What Will Crew Girl Season 2 Be About?

Crew Girl follows Teagan, a talented 16-year-old single sculls rower whose future is derailed by a family scandal.

After relocating to Eagle’s Cove with her mother Ella, played by Jessica Paré, Teagan enrolls at the prestigious Easton Prep and discovers that the school doesn’t have a girls’ rowing team.

She instead becomes the coxswain of the school’s dysfunctional boys’ varsity crew, while finding herself caught between competitive rivals Josh Regis and Cam Dillinger, played by Sam Braun and Kyle Clark, respectively.

Season 1 also stars Thomas Cadrot as Coach Matt Hayden.

Netflix has not yet announced a premiere date or additional details about the second season.
