Travis Scott has a brand new song on the Grand Theft Auto VI soundtrack, and the lyrics include a direct connection to the upcoming game!

The 35-year-old rapper dropped “RHYNO” as one of the first six songs released from Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album, which will feature 34 original tracks when it arrives alongside the game on November 19.

“RHYNO” is produced by Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo, best known as one-half of Daft Punk. The two musicians previously worked together on Travis‘ 2023 song “MODERN JAM.”

So, what is “RHYNO” about and how does the song connect to GTA 6?

What Is Travis Scott’s “RHYNO” About?

“RHYNO” is largely centered around a wild night out, with Travis rapping about partying, money, women and the excess surrounding him.

The song repeatedly encourages everyone to get “loose,” while the verses include references to throwing money, expensive jewelry, crypto, drugs and getting into trouble.

One of the most interesting lyrics comes when Travis directly references a location from Grand Theft Auto VI.

“Jack of Hearts, bae / I don’t wanna break mine,” he raps on the track.

What Is the Jack of Hearts Reference in ‘RHYNO’?

Jack of Hearts is a strip club within the world of Grand Theft Auto VI, making the lyric one of the song’s clearest connections to the game.

Travis was already teasing Jack of Hearts before “RHYNO” was officially announced.

In a social media post teasing his involvement with GTA 6, he wrote, “MY RETURN TO GAME GOTTA COME WITH RAGE AND A LOT OF DANCING LETS RIDE,” before adding the cryptic initials, “J… O. H…..”

The Jack of Hearts lyric also works as a play on words, as Travis follows the club’s name by saying that he doesn’t want to “break” his own heart.

What Does “RHYNO” Mean?

Travis has not publicly explained the meaning behind the song’s title, so we wouldn’t assume that “RHYNO” stands for anything specific.

Within the lyrics, he does rap, “play me something for the rhino,” but he hasn’t explained what “rhino” means in that line or why he chose the stylized “RHYNO” spelling for the title.

What is clear is that the song was created specifically as part of the Grand Theft Auto VI music rollout, and its lyrics lean into the partying, money, crime and nightlife imagery associated with the game’s Vice City setting.

Who Produced Travis Scott’s “RHYNO”?

“RHYNO” was produced by Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo, one-half of the legendary electronic duo Daft Punk alongside Thomas Bangalter.

Guy-Manuel previously worked with Travis on “MODERN JAM,” which appeared on his 2023 album Utopia.

Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album will feature 34 original tracks in total. The full soundtrack and Grand Theft Auto VI will both be released on November 19.
