The finale of Big Brother is getting closer and closer and now there are only 5 contestants remaining in the house following tonight’s double eviction episode.
During the Thursday, September 17, episode, filmed live on the CBS lot in Los Angeles, Julie Chen Moonves broke the news to the houseguests that two people would be going home.
Big Brother airs three episodes every week, as well as a new episode of recap show Big Brother Unlocked every other week.
Yash was the Head of Household this past week
Yash Patel, a 24-year-old finance analyst from New Jersey, won this week’s Head of Household competition.
He nominated Barrett, Melody, and Drew for eviction this week.
Drew won Power of Veto and took himself off of the block. Taylor was nominated in his place as it was Yash‘s only option due to his bribe with Dee.
Melody won the BB Blockbuster competition
Each Thursday night, there is a BB Blockbuster competition before the eviction. The three final nominees compete against each other for a chance to be saved.
Melody won and was taken off the nomination block, leaving Barrett and Taylor as the nominees.
Barrett was evicted from the house
By a vote of 4-1, Barrett was evicted from the house.
Dee, Devens, and Drew all voted to evict him while Melody voted to evict Taylor.
Melody won the next Head of Household competition
Melody won HOH and had to immediately nominate two people for eviction. For the double elimination night, there were only two nominees instead of three.
Dee and Devens were nominated for eviction
The two nominees during the double eviction round were icons Dee and Devens.
Devens won the veto, and Yash was the replacement nominee
All six remaining players participated in the veto competition and Devens won, allowing him to remove himself from the block. The replacement nominee was Yash.
The final two people remaining on the block were Dee and Yash.
Yash was evicted from the house
By a vote of 2-1, Yash was evicted from the house.
Devens and Drew both voted to evict Yash while Taylor voted to evict Dee.
CBS has confirmed when the Big Brother finale will air this year.
