Lily Allen Reacts to Ex-Husband David Harbour's 'Generous' Comments About Her 'West End Girl' Album | Just Jared

Lily Allen had a coy response to ex-husband David Harbour‘s recent comments about her divorce album.
For some backstory, the 41-year-old English singer and the 51-year-old Stranger Things actor were first linked as a couple during the summer 2019 after meeting on the dating app Raya. They married in September 2020 and it was revealed that they had split up in late 2024.
In late 2025, Lily released her album West End Girl, where she seemingly accused David of cheating on her, gaslighting, and being a sex addict.

Back in June, David publicly commented on the album, admitting that while it was “weird” to see all of the reactions to the album, he did not slam the project.
I do believe that it is the privilege of every artist to use their experience to create art, and so I respect her for doing that,” he said at the time.
In a new interview with The Cut published on Monday (September 14), Lily had a similar reaction when asked about David‘s comments.

“I think that was a generous thing for him to say,” she said.
Lily also pointed to David‘s recent success with his HBO Max limited series DTF St. Louis, for which he won his first Emmy award (Lily‘s interview was conducted before his win).
“He’s having a real moment of success as well, right? He’s been nominated for an Emmy, and it’s great,” she remarked. “We’re all doing our own thing, and we’re all doing what we’re supposed to do.”
Lily coyly added, “If there’s one thing I know about David Harbour, it’s that he’s an excellent actor.”
If you didn’t see, Lily also recently responded to criticism over her West End Girl tour.
