LE SSERAFIM is back with new music!
The K-pop girl group – featuring Sakura, Kim Chaewon, Huh Yunjin, Kazuha and Hong Eunchae – released their new single album Made My Night on Friday (September 11).
The two-song project features title track “Made My Night” and “AEIOU,” and reunites the group with Overwatch three years after their hit collaboration “Perfect Night.”
What Is LE SSERAFIM’s “Made My Night” About?
“Made My Night” is a pop-dance song about the excitement of connecting with someone and wanting a night together to keep going.
The lyrics find the group recognizing an immediate chemistry with another person, describing their attraction as “chemical” and singing about how being together makes them feel better.
The chorus centers around the realization that the feelings between the two people can’t be denied, with the group singing, “You just made my night / I feel better now.”
According to the group’s press release, the song captures the feeling of being drawn to someone and getting swept up in dancing the night away together.
The track is performed entirely in English. Sakura explained that the group specifically approached the recording with its international audience in mind.
“We sang the lyrics in English with the hope that a wide audience would enjoy the song,” she said, adding that she paid particular attention to her pronunciation so that “the meaning of the lyrics was clearly conveyed.”
Huh Yunjin also revealed that the song required a different vocal approach than some of the group’s previous music, explaining that it utilizes a lower vocal range alongside several high-pitched ad-libs.
Is “Made My Night” Connected to LE SSERAFIM’s “Perfect Night”?
The new song also marks LE SSERAFIM‘s second collaboration with Blizzard Entertainment’s Overwatch.
The group first teamed up with the video game for “Perfect Night” in 2023.
This time, the “Made My Night” music video combines live-action footage of the group with animation from the Overwatch universe. After the members are held captive, Overwatch heroes D.Va and D.Mon come to their rescue.
Sakura said the combination of live action and animation creates “such a vivid sense of actually stepping into the Overwatch universe.”
The collaboration will continue at BlizzCon 2026, where LE SSERAFIM is set to headline the closing performance on September 13 and perform “Made My Night” live for the first time.
“Made My Night” was produced by Riley McDonough, Connor McDonough and Ryan Daly, who also co-wrote the track with CASTLE, Mae Muller, Justin Tranter and Brandon Colbein.
