Teri Hatcher to Replace Former Co-Star Vanessa Williams in 'The Devil Wears Prada' Musical in London | Just Jared

Teri Hatcher will be the next actress to play Miranda Priestly in the musical version of The Devil Wears Prada!

Teri‘s former Desperate Housewives co-star Vanessa Williams originated the role in the West End production of the musical and she has been leading the show in London for the past two years.

Vanessa is leaving the show on September 19 and her standby Debbie Kurup will play the role between September 21 and October 17 while Teri prepares for her run.

Teri will play Miranda Priestly for a limited run between October 20, 2026 and February 6, 2027.

“I’ve been fortunate enough to play some pretty formidable women throughout my career, but very few can compare to THE Miranda Priestly. I’m absolutely delighted to be joining The Devil Wears Prada in the West End. Miranda is intelligent, commanding, and has a glorious way of putting you in your place while being funny at the same time,” Teri said in a statement. “Her dialogue is unforgettable, her confidence is contagious. These are the kinds of roles one loves to play. I can’t wait to embrace Miranda’s sharp wit, fierce ambition, and iconic style, and share her story on a stage with a new audience every night.”

Teri is no stranger to musicals after starring in the national tour of Cabaret and recently playing Morticia Addams in a Los Angeles production of The Addams Family.
