Fiona Dourif is dating someone new!

The 44-year-old The Pitt star, who plays Dr. Cassie McKay, has revealed that she’s actually dating a real-life internal medicine doctor, which is quite ironic given what she does on television.

“I’m in a new relationship,” Fiona shared at the HBO Max’s Emmy Nominee Celebration earlier this month, per People. “And the funny thing that I think is relevant to the show is — I didn’t meet him through The Pitt — but he’s actually a medical doctor, and he didn’t watch The Pitt because it’s too much like work.”

Since she is a “fake doctor” and he’s a real one, she says her boyfriend thinks it’s “really funny.”

Fiona also said, “it’s funny, because the fact that he’s a doctor is about the ninth thing I would say about him.”

Fiona said they met after a meditation retreat

“We have a shared interest in sort of masochistic ascetic meditation retreats,” she shared.

Fiona continued, “He just happens to be a doctor, but I think it’s a pretty funny… It feels like a coincidence.”

He reportedly had not seen the show when they met, but now he has and she even plans to bring him to the Emmy Awards in September.

“He’s a very private person. This has nothing to do with his life, and I think he’s just really proud of me and is there to support me,” she said.
