Kim Zolciak Speaks Out After Son KJ is Arrested on Sex Crimes Charges, Calls Allegations ‘Reckless & Deeply Troubling’

Kim Zolciak is speaking out following news of her teenage son’s arrest.

If you didn’t see the news, it was revealed on Friday (August 21) that the 48-year-old former Real Housewives of Atlanta star and ex Kroy Biermann‘s 15-year-old son Kroy “KJ” Biermann Jr was arrested earlier this week on alleged aggravated sodomy and aggravated sexual battery crimes.

A female classmate of KJ‘s claims that he assaulted her while in a changing area at a gym back in April.

Following news of KJ‘s arrest, Kim released a statement, defending her son and firing back at the allegations.

“The allegations being made against my son are nothing short of reckless and deeply troubling,” Kim told TMZ. “He categorically denies ever being involved with this woman or engaging in the conduct she has alleged.”

She went on to claim that KJ “voluntarily took a polygraph examination regarding these allegations and passed.” Kim also pointed to the police report, which stated no male DNA was found on the alleged victim.

Kim claims that the alleged victim “similar allegations involving two other people, which raises serious concerns that deserve to be carefully examined.” This claim not not been verified.

The former Bravo star added that false accusations can have “devastating consequences,” adding that “every legitimate allegation deserves to be taken seriously and investigated based on the facts and evidence.”

Kim said that she is confident KJ would get off if the case is heard in court.

Along with KJ, Kim and Kroy, 40, are also parents son Kash, 14, and 12-year-old twins Kaia and Kane. After marrying in Kim 2011, Kroy legally adopted her two older daughters Brielle, 27, and Ariana, 24. The former couple married in 2011 and split in 2023.
