Drew Starkey is dishing on the new American Psycho movie!
If you didn’t see the news, it confirmed in 2024 that Luca Guadagnino will be directing an upcoming American Psycho movie. It will not be a remake of the 2000 film starring Christian Bale, but is rather described as a new interpretation of the 1981 novel by Bret Easton Ellis.
The 32-yer-old Outer Banks actor is one of the names being thrown around that’s speculated to be considered starring in the movie.
When asked about the casting rumors in a new interview with GQ published on August 13, Drew responded “no comment,” but accidentally revealed that he’s read the script.
The script is amazing, though,” Drew said before quickly realizing that he’s said too much.
“F–k! I’ve read the script, but Luca’s my friend,” the Lucky actor swiftly added. “I think I’ve read all of his scripts.”
If you forgot, Drew starred alongside Daniel Craig in Luca‘s 2025 movie Queer.
When it was first announced that Luca was working on a new American Psycho movie, this Emmy-nominated actor voiced interest in starring in the project. One of the stars of the original movie also said they would want to star in the new movie!
