Rob Reiner’s Kids Jake & Romy Honor Their Late Parents at Dodgers Game

Jake and Romy Reiner made a rare appearance at a Dodgers game over the weekend to honor their late parents, Rob Reiner and Michele Singer Reiner.

The siblings threw out the ceremonial first pitch on Sunday’s (August 2) Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Boston Red Sox game.

They both wore jerseys that read “Reiner” on the back, with Jake throwing a strike over the plate, per Page Six. Romy‘s ball went wide of home plate. They got some photos hugging each other and they also posed with Dodgers outfielder Alex Call and infielder Miguel Rojas, who caught their pitches.

Romy and Jake‘s appearance at the game is a meaningful one as the Reiner family grew up attending Dodger games. Jake talked about the tradition in an essay he shared on Substack earlier this year.

“My connection with [Rob Reiner] was first built on baseball. It was my grandfather’s favorite sport, passed down to my dad and then to me. We loved the Dodgers more than anything. We went to so many damn games,” he shared, adding that he would never go to the Dodger Stadium again without feeling his dad’s presence.

Their parents were tragically found stabbed to death in their LA home in December 2025. He was 78, and Michele was 70. Their son, Nick, 32, was arrested as the prime suspect in the murders. He pleaded not guilty during the February court hearing.

Nick is currently being held without bail in Los Angeles jail while he awaits his trial for the first-degree murder of his parents. His next preliminary court hearing is scheduled for September 2026.

During his time at the correctional facility, there was an incident in a shower for which Nick was disciplined.
