Prince George is officially a teenager!

The eldest son of Prince William and Princess Catherine turned 13-years-old on Wednesday (July 22).

In honor of his big day, the Prince and Princess of Wales debuted a brand new portrait of George, as they do for all of his, and his siblings’, birthdays.

“Happy 13th Birthday, George!” the couple wrote on Instagram, along with George‘s official portrait, which was shot by Matt Porteous.

In the new photo, George is wearing a black suit and white button-down shirt as he poses with his hands in his pocket and a smile on his face.

Along with George, William and Catherine, both 44, are also parents to daughter Princess Charlotte, 11, and son Prince Louis, 8.

George – whose full name is George Alexander Louis – is second in the line of succession to the British throne behind his father. He was born on July 22, 2013.

Now that he’s 13, George and William will now have to follow a new a Royal rule.
