Lauren Bennett, a member of the former girl group G.R.L and the female singer featured in the LMFAO song “Party Rock Anthem,” passed away at the age of 37, and now, a few more details have been made publicly available.
TMZ shared that she actually passed away several weeks ago on May 29. She died in an English town called Meopham.
The is also reporting that her death was “sudden” as is now under investigation. They are sharing that this investigation into the cause of her passing could take “months.” The case was officially opened on June 12.
Leading the investigation is the Kent and Medway Coroner Service, and they will be investigating this case until October 30.
They also shared that a private memorial service was held about 10 days ago in London.
“Lauren’s family and closest friends gathering to celebrate her life … including her former bandmates from G.R.L. and Paradiso Girls,” they shared.
If you don’t know, G.R.L broke up back in 2015. Tragedy struck the group the previous year when one of their members, Simone Battle, died by suicide at the young age of 25.
