Anthony Albanese can’t get Kylie Minogue out of his head.

The 63-year-old Australian Prime Minister issued an apology after naming the “Padam Padam” singer in response to a “shag, marry, date” question on the Bush Deep podcast from comedian Nikki Osborne.

At one point during the segment, she asked him who he’d pick between Kylie, Nicole Kidman or Rhonda Burchmore.

“I’ve just got married, I’m only six months in,” he said before being egged on to participate.

“Oh, Kylie, clearly,” he admitted.

“You’d marry Kylie and shag her and date her?” the host clarified.

“All of the above. She’s terrific,” he responded.

The comments sparked some criticism from other politicians, including Senator Sarah Henderson, who wrote on X: “Anthony Albanese’s whisky-fuelled comments on the ‘Deep Bush’ (sic) podcast are disrespectful to women, embarrassing to Australians and demean the office of Prime Minister.”

“I apologise unequivocally for the comments,” he said in a statement provided to CNN.

Kylie, meanwhile, recently disclosed a private health battle in her new documentary.

In her newly released KYLIE documentary on Netflix, the 57-year-old Australian popstar revealed that she was diagnosed with cancer for the second time in early 2021. If you were unaware, she was diagnosed and successfully treated for breast cancer back in 2005. Find out what she said about it happening again.
