H.E.R. & Liza Soberano Lead DreamWorks' Magical New Movie 'Forgotten Island' in New Trailer - Just Jared - Celebrity News and Gossip

The trailer for DreamWorks Animation’s new movie Forgotten Island has arrived!

The upcoming original animated film, from the filmmaking team behind Puss in Boots: The Last Wish, is set to hit theaters on September 25, 2026.

Grammy and Academy Award winner H.E.R. and Liza Soberano lead the voice cast as Jo and Raissa, two high school graduates who have been best friends since grade school. As they prepare to head down separate paths, the pair spend one final night together, only for things to take a magical turn.

The new trailer introduces the mysterious island of Nakali, where Jo and Raissa are transported after stumbling across a portal. The fantastical world is filled with magical and mythological creatures inspired by the stories they grew up hearing from their Filipino families.

Their adventure quickly becomes more dangerous when they encounter The Dreaded Manananggal, voiced by Tony winner Lea Salonga. With help from Raww, a well-meaning weredog voiced by Dave Franco, and a group of new allies, Jo and Raissa must find a way home before they lose the memories of their friendship forever.

The film also features the vocal talents of Jenny Slate, Manny Jacinto, Dolly de Leon, Jo Koy, and Ronny Chieng.
